Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962) veröffentlichte eine große Anzahl an Romanen und Biografien. Sie war eine enge Freundin von Virginia Woolf, die sie zu ihrer fiktiven Biografie Orlando inspirierte. 1913 heiratete sie den Diplomaten Harold Nicholson, mit dem sie in den Dreißigerjahren die Ruine von Schloss Sissinghurst kaufte, dessen von beiden gestalteter Garten heute als einer der schönsten Gärten Englands gilt.Susanne Lange, geboren 1964 in Berlin, lebt in Barcelona und Berlin. Fu?r ihre Übersetzungen erhielt sie zahlreiche Auszeichnungen wie den Johann-Heinrich-Voß-Preis und war August-Wilhelm-von-Schlegel-Gastprofessorin fu?r Poetik der Übersetzung an der Freien Universität Berlin. Zu den von ihr u?bersetzten Autoren gehören u. a. Fernando del Paso, Federico García Lorca, Carmen Laforet, Juan Rulfo, Javier Marías und Miguel de Cervantes. Sie ist Mitherausgeberin einer vierbändigen Anthologie spanischer und hispanoamerikanischer Lyrik.Julia Bachstein wurde in Montevideo geboren und lebt in Frankfurt am Main.
