Johann Peter Eckermann, geboren 1792 in Winsen bei Hamburg und verstorben 1854 in Weimar, wurde, nachdem er in Hannover und Göttingen verschiedene Ausbildungen begonnenen hatte, Dichter und Schriftsteller. Er war ein enger Vertrauter Goethes.
