Multimedia services provisioning is one of the most significant features in the future generation wireless mobile system. There are, however, many inherent challenges must be addressed in order to smoothly deliver multimedia services. Exploring solutions to these challenges, Broadband Mobile Multimedia covers basic concepts, including techniques, protocols, systems, applications, and policies, as well as recent advancements in emerging wireless scenarios, including B3G, 4G, ad hoc networks, mesh networks, and wireless LANs. It focuses on practical system integration, simulation experiments, and performance analysis models. The book also presents the latest IEEE standards for multimedia support.
