Über den Autor Johannes Kepler

Johannes Kepler (1571¿1630) erkrankte als Kind an den Pocken und behielt ein lebenslanges Augenleiden zurück. Nach einem Theologiestudium in Tübingen veröffentlichte er 1596 sein erstes Werk zur Astronomie. Im Zuge der Gegenreformation musste Kepler nach Prag fliehen, wo er 1601 kaiserlicher Hofmathematiker wurde. 1619 veröffentlichte er seine Ergebnisse der Forschungen zur Weltharmonik und zur Planetenbewegung. Kepler gilt als Begründer der Wissenschaft der Astrophysik.
