Über den Autor Mark Twain

Mark Twain wurde 1835 in Florida, Missouri, geboren. Er arbeitete als Drucker, Lotse auf einem Mississippidampfer, Goldgräber und Reisejournalist. Mit 'Tom Sawyers Abenteuer' veröffentlichte er 1876 einen Gegenentwurf zu den didaktischen Kinderbüchern seiner Zeit. 1884 folgte 'Huckleberry Finns Abenteuer', das Hemingway an den Anfang der modernen amerikanischen Literatur stellte.
