Fantasy and science-fiction author and role-playing game designer Michael Stackpole found great success in books set in both the BattleTech and Star Wars universes — the latter including collaborations with Timothy Zahn on stories featuring Mara Jade.Croatian author and artist Darko Macan helmed the rebranding of Cable as Soldier X and also wrote the limited series Captain America: Dead Men Running for Marvel. He worked extensively in the Star Wars galaxy for Dark Horse Comics, including series starring Darth Vader and Chewbacca, and has contributed to the publisher’s Grendel Tales.The Glasgow-born Cam Kennedy started his comics career in 1967, leaving to pursue fine art in 1972. When he re-emerged in the late ’70s, his work graced the pages of British publisher Fleetway Publications (including legendary science-fiction anthology 2000 AD, for which he drew Judge Dredd). He collaborated with writer Tom Veitch on 1988’s The Light and Darkness War, the result of which was them getting the license to produce Dark Empire for Dark Horse Comics — the first Star Wars comic book in years and a sequel to the sci-fi film trilogy. Along with a Dark Empire sequel for Dark Horse, Kennedy has drawn The Spectre, Batman and Lobo for DC. Since then, Kennedy has drawn two classic literature adaptations: Kidnapped and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.Artist Robert Teranishi is best known for his work on the Star Wars series of comic books published by Dark Horse. His artwork on Star Wars: Union featured the long-awaited wedding of Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade. Teranishi also contributed to Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace Adventures, a series that artfully expanded on the backgrounds of the film’s beloved main characters. In addition, he has collaborated with best-selling author Kevin J. Anderson on The Saga of Seven Suns: Veiled Alliances, a graphic novel prequel to Anderson’s Seven Suns novel.
